It’s no secret that Grammy night is what Oscars are to actors and filmmakers. It’s one of the most anticipated nights during award season, my fifth and favourite seasons of all. Although the 62nd annual ceremony was plagued by bad press a few days before airing, where their CEO Deborah Dugan was let go after five months in the position because an assistant accused her of bullying.

Upon closer inspection, reports say that she denied the charge and filed a complaint at the L.A Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she says she was suspended in retaliation for uncovering misconduct, corruption within the Recording Academy and that the Grammy nomination process had been unfairly manipulated.

Fashion plays a big role in any award show, from the performance costumes, the hosts’ outfit changes and the attendees, here’s a list of my favourite looks from the night:

Billy Porter in a  blue catsuit and bolero by Scott Studentberg from Baja East, complete with silver rhinestone fringe around the calves.

Dua Lipa took a page from the 90’s fashion book with an Alexander Wang look, stunning!

FKA Twigs looked like a dream in a periodic look with a black hoody.

John Legend was fashion-forward with an Alexander McQueen creation on the red carpet.

Lil Nas X should have received an award for looking this good in this hot pink Versace creation!

Woman of the moment – Lizzo in old Hollywood, all-white Valentino.

Cardi B was in attendance wearing GISMONDI with 1754 jewellery. Money Honey!

Like the iconic pop star, Rihanna, Ariana came in with a larger than life Giambattista Valli – It was a lot of dress.

Bebe Rexha pulled off the tuxedo-look for the carpet, looking really powerful.

Tyler the Creator looked like he walked out of a Wes Anderson movie set and I’m not upset.
