It has been a thrilling 23-years of recognising SA’s most stylish celebrities and socialites across industries. The SA Style Awards announced this year’s winners in a charming and elegant celebration at Sandton City’s Diamond Walk.
This award ceremony is an invite-only affair curated by Jill Grogor and attended by Mzansi’s glitterati who relish the excuse to throw on their fabulous regalia.
This year, the judging panel included a designer to the stars, Gert Johan Coetzee, DJ and TV personality, Lerato Kganyago, award-winning stylists, Louw Kotze and Sarah Langa-Mackay. TV mogul, author and businesswoman, Basetsana Kumalo, with the theme being ‘a touch of red’.
The purpose of the event is to honour individuals who have made an indelible mark. Every year handpicked sponsors and judges nominate their deserving choices across ten different categories, uniting in the search for South Africa’s most stylish individuals.
Maria Borges from Angola came in for a few minutes to accept her Most Stylish Model award. Lezanne Viviers for Most Innovative Style, Melody Molale got Most Stylish Media Personality, Thebe Magugu for the Most Stylish Designer, Ze Nxumalo taking home the Most Stylish Business Personality. The Next Big Thing award went to professional makeup artist Thameenah Saint and Girl-of-the-Moment, Mihlali Ndamase.

Basetsana Kumalo was presented with the Most Stylish SA Icon award. Tatum Keshwar and Warren Wheatley won Most Stylish Changemakers, a brand new category. The Most Stylish Couple went to Somizi Mhlongo & Mohale Motaung. Most Stylish Performing Artist in Film or TV went to Pearl Modiadie while the Most Stylish Performing Artist in Music went to Nomuzi Mabena.
